So lesson 3 of the headsprout comprehension program is under his belt and he is roaring to get to the next lesson. I guess there is something to be said about continuity. For some reason, my son brought his “A” game to the plate and he just blazed right through the lesson, like he was an old pro at it. Before I go on a tangent, the lesson had to where he practiced differentiating between Find the Fact questions and Clue Words questions. So this was more like a video game for him than a lesson. I noticed this because of the posture he had through the lesson. Sometimes he slouches, which means he is bored, then when the software stimulates, or should I say challenges him, his posture is straight and he is alert and moving that mouse all over the place. So in This lesson, he discovered which strategy to apply depending on the type of question. Now that was something that appealed to his noodle.

Name that fish
On another note, we all went fishing over the weekend, and let me tell you it is hot out there on the beach. By the way, it was my birthday and I got to spend an afternoon fishing with the boys and they were having a blast. At one point, we were flinging lobsters up on to the rocks, just to get a rise off of the tourist that were walking by. We even caught a couple of fish that we have no clue what they are called. So here is a picture of one of them. Since we are all new to fishing, I am thinking of setting up a contest to help us identify the type of fish we are catching. So let me know what you think would be a good prize for the proper identification of these fish. On the next update, I will post the other fish. So sports fans, stay tuned to the next adventures of the boys who learned how to catch fish while learning to read. I guess I should submit this to nickelodeon.
